Amy Evans heads the Oral History Initiative for the Southern Foodways Alliance. Originally from Houston, Texas, she received her B.F.A in Printmaking from the Maryland Institute College of Art and an M.A. in Southern Studies from the University of Mississippi. Amy is also an exhibiting artist, freelance photographer, art educator and co-founder of PieceWorks, a non-profit community arts and outreach organization based in Oxford, Mississippi.
